UCF STRATEGIC PLAN
For the Next Three Years
Based on a Strategic Plan done last July 2004, funded by Vanguard Public Foundation, UCF has set its goals for the next years on the following:
PROGRAM STRATEGY
Provide culturally appropriate programs to Cambodian families that promote respect for elders and civic responsibility; and that ensure success in education, public health, and safety.
Objective One:
Develop leadership and citizenship programs that meet the needs of the Cambodian community (including voter registration, training of mentors, leadership conferences, and community networking).
Objective Two:
Provide county-wide education programs focusing on youth, to include after-school tutoring, Cambodian language and culture classes, ESL, mentoring, parent involvement classes, career development, and special events that promote learning and literacy, such as book fairs.
Objective Three:
Create programs that promote community health and safety awareness, including nutrition, sanitation, life skills, parenting, and crime prevention, through such means as health fairs, adopting needy families and improving community relations.
Objective Four:
Asses the needs of the Cambodian community periodically to keep all programs and services of the agency current and relevant.
