WELCOME
Dear Community Members, Ladies and Gentlemen,
2005 passed with many blessings. I would like to thank UCF Board, community leaders, collaborative partners for their untiring supports to make our community better. With our renewed commitments and refreshed relationship, we can do a lot more in 2006 and beyond. We all take pride of this great city, the All America City.
In 2005, with the funding from the Environmental Health Investigation Branch (EHIB) we could bring important health messages about Fish and Mercury to our community. With the funding from the First Five of San Joaquin through the Community Partnership for Families, UCF can deliver direct and integrated Services to families in needs. All about making our community better. On May 6, 2005 we started a negotiation process with CPF concerning the new center at Diamond Cove II. Our deepest appreciation to Mr. Stewart Wakeling, former CPF Executive Director and Mrs. Robina Aghar, Current Executive Director of CPF for their tremendous efforts and benevolence to support UCF to have our office. And I am pretty sure that we are indebted to some more organizations and individuals who helped make this possible. They deserve thankfulness from us too. We would like to inform our community that now we have our office, should you need some helps, come to our office, we will find ways to help you and your families.
UCF proudly introduces our staff Sanny Pho as Case Manager for the project funded by the First Five of San Joaquin. A large group of teenagers and youth attend Sanny cooking class and wish to stay longer in the center ... We must bring more programs for our community. Now let us continue to strengthen our family by recognizing our supporting parents, our hard working students. Join UCF to fulfill its mission to unite families and empower parents and students to succeed and to fulfill its vision to bring the best of Cambodian culture to our families in order to prosper in the United States.
I wish you the best for 2006 and beyond. May the year 2006 be a fruitful year for each one of you!
Most Cordially Yours,
Sophat Sorn |
